Once your Devil has passed the SVA you need to get it registered with the DVLA before you can drive it on the road.
You will need forms V55/5 and V627/1 from your local DVLA Office (click HERE or speak to your local SVA centre). Fill them in and take them with your SVA certificate, insurance cover note, sales invoice from Edge Sportscars, V5 of the donor vehicle, proof of address (e.g. utility bill, bank statement), proof of identity (e.g. driving license, passport), a cheque for £38 (registration fee) and £165 (a years Tax) to your local DVLA office who will process the application. The completed car will need to be inspected by their tester, whose job it is to verify that the car exists as described. This really is just a formality and involves him/her checking the chassis number and engine number against the documents above, and takes about a minute. The inspection can take place at your home if you book with them in advance or you can take the car to them when you take in your documents. |
